Head of Department, School of Law

Dr. Jean de Dieu Zikamabahari

Dean - School of Law

Dr. Zikamabahari is the Dean of the School of Law and a Senior Lecturer of Law at the University of Kigali.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Laws (LLD) from North-West University
  • Master of Laws (LLM) with specialization in International Law from the University of Cape Town
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the National University of Rwanda (currently University of Rwanda)
  • Various professional trainings in justice and rule of law

Professional Experience: Dr. Zikamabahari has a distinguished career in law, including roles such as:

  • Dean at the School of Law, University of Kigali
  • Coordinator of Legal Clinic at the School of Law, Kigali Independent University
  • Judge at the Primary Court of Ngarama, Rwanda

He is also an active member of the Rwanda Bar Association.
